Discover the rich history of England's oldest borough on a visit to the hilltop town of Malmesbury.
Sitting on the edge of the Cotswolds, Malmesbury is a charming market town with a rich history that's waiting to be explored. The town's skyline is dominated by the 12th century Abbey which sits in the heart of the town. Beside the Abbey, you'll find Abbey House Gardens - a 5 acre garden which features knot gardens, over 2,000 roses and constant colour from March to November.
Enjoy riverside walks around the town, shop in the independent stores in the medieval streets and sample some local fare in one of the cafes or delis. Make a short break of it by staying at one of the nearby hotels or cosy bed and breakfasts.
