Set in a park designed by Capability Brown, Burton Constable Hall is filled with 18th and 19th century interiors.
Situated in Yorkshires Holderness area close to the East Coast is the impressive Burton Constable Hall. This large Elizabethan brick-built house has projecting wings, 18th century Stable Block and Orangery. Peruse the outstanding interiors filled with fine furniture, paintings and sculpture include Great Hall, Long Gallery, classically inspired Dining Room, Chippendale furnished Great Drawing Room to the design of James Wyatt, early 19th century Chinese Room and Chapel.
There is so much to see and do inside and out. The surrounding gardens and parklands contain a diverse variety of birds and wildlife. The park has two lakes and a bridge designed by Capability Brown. The young or old alike will love the giant garden games and croquet sets are free to use on the Orangery Lawn whilst the large grass area in front of the stables and tea room can be used for ball games.
