With three Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and over 8,200 footpaths within its borders, Wiltshire provides a breath-taking backdrop for outdoor adventure.
Lace up your walking boots and venture along the Clarendon Way and The Ridgeway, aka Britain’s oldest roads, which both criss-cross the county of Wiltshire.
If you prefer to travel on two wheels, you’ll have some fun on the quiet country lanes of the 160-mile Wiltshire Cycleway, or there’s off-road cycling on the Kennet & Avon Canal towpath. Of course, you could opt for a different kind of saddle altogether, taking in the county’s many bridleways on horseback with Pewsey Vale Riding Centre and Rein and Shine.
If you really like your adrenalin hits, get a look at the Wiltshire countryside from above with a hot air balloon tour, or see it hurtling towards you on a parachute jump.
