Step back more than 80 years and experience living history brought to life by this fascinating vessel.

Last in a long line of Lightship which have travelled along the Humber since 1820, ensuring the safe passage for mariners thought the continuously shifting sands banks of the mighty Humber estuary.

Discover the challenges faced by crew surviving in cramped and often dangerous conditions and put yourself in the shoes of ‘Lampy’ the affectionate name given to the crew member responsible for cleaning the lamp equipment. Interpretation panels throughout the ship will walk you through lives, loves and loses of these truly remarkable men. Part of the collection of eight free museums in Hull.
