Everyone’s heard of the Grand National. Even if you’re not a horseracing fan, you can’t ignore the buzz that surrounds the world’s most famous horse race every year, this year taking place on 14th April.
Turn up for the Grand Opening or swan along to Ladies Day, a renowned gathering of the stylish, iconic and colourful – and that’s just the headwear. Music, racing and entertainment are all part of the build-up to the main event, the famous steeplechase itself.
With 40 horses and jockeys covering two circuits of Aintree’s track and tackling obstacles like the famous Chair or Becher’s Brook there’s only one thing to do, place your bet and join in the roar of the 154,000 strong crowd.
