Stay in your very own hobbit hole in the Lake District

Ullswater, Cumbria

Escape on a budget break to the Quiet Site in Cumbria, a family-run site overlooking Ullswater in the north of the Lake District.

Open all year round, one night's Pod camping can accommodate two adults and up to two small children. Designed specifically to accommodate the variable British weather with lamb's wool insulation for those chillier times, these timber-built camping pods are an extra special alternative to camping. Ullswater valley is truly breath-taking, with its beautiful lake nestled amongst towering fells.

Aira Force, a tumbling waterfall drops an impressive 65ft and can be reached by a stroll through ancient woodland and landscaped glades. Famous for influencing William Wordsworth famous poem ‘Daffodils’, Aira Force is also the perfect place for a family walk and picnic.
