Wiltshire is home to a number of Lancelot 'Capability' Brown greatest masterpieces, so why not make plans to come and see some of them on the 300th anniversary of his birth?

One of the best examples of Brown's work can be seen at Bowood, where a flowing mix of woodlands and lawns slope down to a winding lake.

In the heart of Corsham, you'll find Corsham Court. Here, Brown undertook landscape of the grounds, created the ha-ha, lake and the Great Walk.

At Wilton House, 21 acres of landscaped parkland are owed much to the work of Brown whist at Longleat he created 900 acres of landscaped parkland around the Elizabethan house.

It's not just landscapes by Capability Brown that you can enjoy on a visit to Wiltshire, look out for the stunning Stourhead Gardens, the Peto Garden at Iford Manor and Heale Garden and turn your visit into a garden getaway.
