The 3-course menu at the gallery's Level 9 restaurant coincides with The C C Land Exhibition: Pierre Bonnard: The Colour of Memory.
Pierre Bonnard, whose work can be seen at The C C Land Exhibition at the Tate Modern, is regarded as one of the greatest colourists of the 20th century.
Head Chef at the Tate Modern's Level 9 restaurant, Jon Atashroo, has taken inspiration from Bonnard’s life and paintings for his 3-course menu. Incorporating the artist’s distinctive use of colour into the ingredients and presentation, while paying particular homage to the years Bonnard spent living and working in Paris.
Atashroo’s dishes play on the artist’s definitive use of colour in his work, using seasonal ingredients - such as winter staple, beetroot - to boost the colour and contrast on the plate.
