Visit the newly regenerated site at Middleport Pottery, famed for its production of Burleighware pottery since the 18th century.
Opening in summer 2014 is the new Middleport Pottery, situated in Burslem, on the same site as Burleigh.
This historic site was saved thanks to The Prince’s Regeneration Trust, who bought the factory when it was facing the threat of closure. There will be a new visitor centre and café where you can enjoy an afternoon tea - on Stoke-on-Trent pottery, of course!
Experience the traditional skills and processes still in use at this atmospheric 18th century pot bank on a fully guided factory tour and discover how they use the 200-year-old decorating process of underglaze transfer printing.
