Discover one of Norfolk’s hidden market towns

Norwich, Norfolk

Pull on your walking boots and get to know Loddon, a charming riverside town just 10 miles from Norwich.

Seasoned walkers can tackle the hefty 35 mile Wherryman’s Way which follows the course of the river Yare to Great Yarmouth.

If you’re looking for something a little gentler, there are also 10 circular walking routes to ramble along and the quaint market town itself to explore. The Swan, located in the heart of Loddon, makes a great base for walkers.

A stay in one of four large yet cosy bedrooms with ensuites, together with a pint of local ale and top-notch food – especially the gourmet pizzas and roasts available on Sundays, is a great way to end an autumnal ramble. If weather permits the courtyard garden is good bet too.
