View one of only four surviving 1215 Magna Carta documents in Lincoln, and discover the Charter’s impact on global freedom, liberty and justice.
There have been more than 800 years since the sealing of Magna Carta at Runnymede in 1215. Plan a cultural holiday to Lincoln to see the brand new visitor centre in an underground vault for Magna Carta at Lincoln Castle.
There you can examine the historic document for yourself alongside the 1217 Charter of the Forest, the only place in the world where the two are side by side.
The exhibition at Lincoln Castle also has a 210-degree cinema screen amongst other cultural activities, where you can learn of the document’s history and the impact it still has across the world today.
