Situated about 15 miles east of King's Lynn in beautiful rolling countryside and close to the Norfolk coast, Castle Acre is home to the priory, one of the largest and best preserved monastic sites in England dating back to 1090.

Also boasting extensive castle earthworks, and a Bailey Gate, this pretty English village with its tea rooms and pub, is a treat to explore. It is situated on the Nar Valley Way walking trail and also the Peddars Way which leads to the coast.

Close by to Castle Acre are the pleasant West Acre Gardens and West Acre Theatre which offers a year-round programme of entertainment with notable outdoor theatre productions in the months from May to August.
