Shanklin seafront has loads to keep the kids quiet and plenty of places for adults to take it easy.
Shanklin is one of the Isle of Wight’s traditional seaside resorts, and it still maintains much of its original charm along with some more modern features. Shanklin’s beaches are gently sloping and sandy, making them perfect for swimming from, and there are beach huts and deckchairs for hire.
If you’re feeling adventurous there are pedalos, kayaks and even banana boat trips which can be arranged. Along the promenade are the amusements filled with of classic arcade games, indoor go-carts and bowling, alongside which there are several cafés and kiosks where you can grab an ice cream.
New to the seafront is the Pirates Cove, a mini theme park which will entertain the kids (and adults) for hours with a crazy golf course, zorbs, bumper boats and a runaway train rollercoaster.
