Used by cyclists, walkers and horse riders, the Hayling Billy Trail runs along the west coast of the island and offers a completely traffic-free cycling experience. This peaceful route was a railway line until 1963, so is a great way to travel between Langstone Bridge and West Town. You can also spot some of Hayling Island’s wide range of flora and fauna along the way.

Once you reach West Town at the south of the island, you can explore South Hayling at your leisure. Here, Beachlands boasts a Blue Flag and there are plenty of grassy dunes and picnic spots where you can take a well-deserved rest.

Nearby Funland Amusement Park has rollercoasters and a log flume if you’re feeling adventurous, or for a taste of the seaside enjoy traditional fish and chips on the beach.
