Cycle the track at Derby Arena

Derby, Derbyshire

Enter the adrenaline-fuelled world of track cycling on Derby's 250-metre indoor Velodrome, for novice, veterans and elite cyclists.

Experience the excitement and thrill of racing around the brand new indoor 250-metre cycle track at Derby Arena. Sessions are available to all from elite riders, to novices, families, seniors and veterans.

The highly-trained and experienced cycling instructors will soon have you whizzing around the banked track with its steepest point angled at 42°, but be careful as these track bikes don’t have gears or breaks!

So fancy yourself as an Olympic champion? Then follow in the cycle tracks of Dame Sarah Storey and Sir Bradley Wiggins, both who have raced on this track, and book yourself onto a session today. The fabulous Derby Arena displays the medal colours of gold, silver and bronze on its roof, a legacy to the 2012 Olympics.
