In total the Kennet & Avon Canal is 87 miles long. The canal crosses the whole width of Wiltshire and travels through the towns of Pewsey, Devizes and Bradford on Avon.

Cycle along the tow path and you’ll pass Crofton Beam Engines, the Pewsey Downs and the impressive flight of locks at Caen Hill (near Devizes).  This traffic-free route is perfect for exploring Wiltshire’s tranquil countryside and with canal-side pubs and tea rooms along the way, you’ll be sure to have a great time.
