Bristol plays host to some of the world’s most exciting and innovative jazz and blues artists for the Bristol International Jazz and Blues Festival.
Bristol is fast becoming the New Orleans of the UK with a thriving and thumping jazz scene across the city. This all culminates in an annual festival held at Colston Hall, to celebrate all that is wonderful about this style of music.
Over 40 concerts, workshops and jam sessions, some of which are free, make up its jam-packed programme, making it a must-see amongst Bristol’s festivals in March.
In 2015 there was an incredible line-up of over 40 concerts, workshops and jam sessions including: The Big Band Swing Dance led by the 17-piece Bruce/Ilett Big Band as well as Cartoon Jazz, featuring Disney favourites.
