The Lake District is the place to properly celebrate the life and works of this iconic author, illustrator, scientist and conservationist.
Special events will take place at various Beatrix Potter National Trust venues. These will include a children’s literary festival at Wray Castle, the first place Beatrix visited in the Lake District, a brand new guide to tell the story of her life, storytelling events and of course a special birthday party on the 28th July at properties across the whole county, included Beatrix Potter's former home at Hill Top Farm. Guided walks through Hawkshead and Coniston open up the landscapes which inspired Potter in her literature, her art and her conservation work.
