Race a world champion in the Velodrome or brush up on your BMX skills at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester.
If Team GB’s cycling success at London 2012 has left you dreaming of Olympic glory (or even just planning to get a little fitter), hop on your bike and head on over to the National Cycling Centre.
The Velodrome facilities here are world-class but the cyclists don’t have to be. The 250m, 42.5 degrees track offers sessions for world champions and anyone who can pedal, so you might just find yourself racing for the finish line against Laura Trott or Mark Cavendish.
Those wanting to do something other than laps can venture out onto the BMX skills zone, where you can practise wheelies to your heart’s content, or head for the centre’s Mountain Bike Trails to really build up those calf muscles.
