Hotel stays in Bristol on a Sunday are the best value, so be smart and book yourself a cheap weekend break that includes a Sunday night.

As everyone else heads home, you’ll be waking up to breakfast cooked for you and a leisurely day of strolling around Bristol’s free parks, churches, museums and galleries.

For a bundle of budget-friendly things to do, all within a 5-minute walk, head to the top of Cabot tower (which is free to enter) and look out over the city to the Mendip Hills. Then picnic on beautiful Brandon Hill, where you might see some practising circus performers, before heading down to Bristol Cathedral to catch a free concert in the nave.
