Explore the beautiful Bay of Filey

Filey, North Yorkshire

Relax on Filey’s expansive beach and admire exotic birds in one of Yorkshire’s finest coastal towns.

Stroll along the soft sands and find the perfect place to make sandcastles, at a beach that’s known as one of the best in the country for families. Its vast bay means that no matter how busy it gets, you’ll never struggle for space.

Once the tide has come in, filling your sandcastle moats, visit Filey Bird Park, where luscious gardens tweeting with exotic birds. Visit the farmyard animals too, to dote over Shetland ponies, alpacas and Ouessants – the smallest breed of sheep in the world before taking a stroll through the magnificent gardens.

As the sun retreats, head to Filey Brigg – a perfectly positioned caravan site – to enjoy an alfresco dinner and watch the sun set.
