Discover Alston Moor, Dufton, Knock and Garrigill, places which profoundly influenced the poet Auden. His work reflected his personal response to the landscape in which he was steadfast in his allegiance to throughout his life.

It is a wild region between the Tees and the Roman Wall, which provides the backdrop to many of his poems and plays of the ‘20s and ’30s, and echoes at intervals throughout his life.
