Celebrate the best of old-time steam railways and indie rock in the East Midlands.
Dozens of DIY pop artists and bands descend on Derbyshire during the height of summer for a three-day festival celebrating independent music and heritage railways.
Musicians from indiepop and alternative rock scenes play in traditional railroad settings, including a locomotive shed. Steam trains run through the Midland Railway centre site, giving the whole venue a very atmospheric feel.
Indietracks is a family-friendly affair, and the festival takes pains to ensure that people from all backgrounds feel comfortable and welcome. Following the live music performances each day, Indietracks puts on art and crafts workshops and DJ’d discos. There really is something for everyone on show here!
Indietracks 2020 takes place 24-26 July. This year’s music lineup is set to be announced shortly.
