At the ExCel you’ll find England's largest auditorium, able to seat up to 5,000 with adaptable seating and event configurations, and London's largest banqueting hall for 3,000 guests. Plus a stunning multi-function conference suite for 2,500 delegates, that has dedicated reception and registration areas, is also on offer.
The event halls can take a capacity of 68,750 people at any one time and offers blank canvases for any type of function – with previous occupants as diverse as boat shows and international company conferences. A large stock of audio-visual equipment is managed by expert teams and two on-site catering companies serve up canapés or gala dinners with ease.
Built on the site of Victorian docks, ExCeL forms part of a major redevelopment of the area. It’s a district of the city made for events, with hotels, shops, bars and restaurants, and within easy reach of London’s famous sights.
The University of Essex is located in Colchester, Britain's oldest recorded town. It provides an ideal base to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside made famous by artists such as John Constable.
