As you sweep up to Castle Howard you can see why Lonely Planet named it 'One of the World's Top Ten Greatest Mansions and Grand Houses'. This splendid example of 18th-century architecture has been home to the Howard family for more than 300 years. The estate features more than 200 listed buildings and monuments within its grounds and is situated within the Howardian Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
During the daytime the columned Grecian Hall makes an elegant setting for boardroom-style meetings for up to 24 participants, theatre-style presentations for up to 50 delegates or private luncheons for up to 70 guests. After a private tour of the property, a drinks reception in The Great Hall and its painted dome will provide a wonderful talking point for your guests.
The south lawn is perfect for marquee-based events or outdoor activities and commands a beautiful unobstructed view back towards the house.
