Breakfast with penguins | Spurn safari | Chocolate making | Hotham's Gin School
“You’re only here for the culture” is one of the more unusual football chants sung by Hull City football fans but typifies the huge range of cultural incentives available. If groups require more than the culture, there’s plenty of alternative ideas on offer as well.
Breakfast with penguins
Invite the resident penguins to join your group for breakfast at The Deep aquarium. Guests will hear from the penguin team about how they care for these animals while witnessing the aquarists cleaning and preparing the penguins’ home, ready for the day ahead. Following this light-hearted breakfast, groups can enjoy a guided tour of the aquarium and learn more about some of the amazing species that live there. Visit The Deep website to find out more.

Spurn safari
Guests can climb aboard the all-terrain Unimog vehicle for a two-and-a-half hour guided tour with a difference along Spurn Point. Spurn is a narrow sand tidal island, located off the tip of the coast of East Riding of Yorkshire. It reaches into the North Sea and forms the north bank of the mouth of the Humber Estuary. This is an internationally important nature reserve with sensitive, diverse and wildlife-rich habitats. Groups will discover a wealth of history and wildlife before finding their head for heights as they climb the recently restored Spurn Lighthouse for incredible views. |
Chocolate making
Treat groups to a chocolate-making experience with artisan chocolatier Cocoa, found in the city’s foodie heaven, Hull Trinity Market. Alternatively, combine a gin with chocolate experience and put attendees to work creating 24 delicious gin truffles, infused with your choice of two flavoured gins. |
Hotham's Gin School
Located in Hepworth's Arcade in the heart of Hull's Old Town, Hotham’s Gin School teaches groups all about gin, how it’s made, and lets them practise the ancient art of distilling. Your guests will create their very own bottle of gin to take away and enjoy. |
