Nottingham Castle

First built in 1068 by William the Conqueror, a magnificent 17th-century ducal mansion now stands on the original site of Nottingham Castle and features spectacular views across the city.

The castle houses a vibrant museum with collections of silver, glass, armour and paintings to marvel over. The art galleries show off regional, national and international artist’s work.
For an event with a difference, head underneath the castle for a tour of the medieval manmade caves and secret passageways, discovering King David's legendary dungeon and the Duke of Newcastle's wine cellar.

Delegates can be entertained in an elegant Victorian gallery lined with imposing paintings from the museum’s collection. The spacious room is a popular venue for formal receptions and dinners. The Long Gallery can hold up to 150 people for a formal dinner between walls lined with British and European art dating back to the 11th century.
