Accessible countryside escapes

Access for all countryside logo

A rural holiday in England’s gorgeous countryside is a great way to escape the everyday and enter tranquillity. Whether it’s exploring Northumberland’s vast valleys, picturesque towns and coastlines steeped in history or discovering the Peak District’s grand estates, peaceful spa towns and rugged beauty of its national park; the last thing you should have to think about is if the hotels and attractions in the area are accessible. That’s why we’ve developed this handy travel guide for Northumberland and the Peak District packed with information on where to stay and visit. These places have worked through VisitEngland’s rigorous Access For All Programme, so all you have to do is relax and enjoy your rural escape!

We have a limited number of printed copies available for those who cannot access the guide online. To request a printed copy or a plain text version in Microsoft Word, email qad@visitengland.org or phone 0207 578 1454.
