“Skeggy” – as it’s affectionately known – has all the hallmarks of a traditional English seaside resort. The donkey rides, the pier, the crazy golf. But there's yet more to this Lincolnshire town. The North Sea beach is Blue Flag clean, there's a seal sanctuary and regular arts and music festivals. Pull on your wellies to roam sand dunes and salt marshes around Gibraltar Point nature reserve. Terns, lapwings and ringed plovers come to roost there.
