July events: Warwick Folk Festival

Warwick, Warwickshire

For four days each summer, Warwick is awash with the sights and sounds of folk music from across the world.

From boogie to bluegrass, there’s something for everyone at the Warwick Folk Festival. Dozens of gigs are held across the festival, which takes over the grounds of Warwick School for four days every July.

While the Main Stage Marquee and Bridge House Theatre welcome headline acts throughout (Billy Bragg, Skerrybore and Karen Casey have already been announced for this year's festival), visitors can also revel in smaller acoustic sets, sing-alongs and musical workshops. There are also stalls offering local crafts and food, along with plenty of real ale on tap should one require some hoppy refreshment. To top it all off there’s an accompanying Fringe Festival featuring dance and music from the region.
