See English rural life through a microscope and marvel at the exquisite detail of these handmade figurines, at Blackpool’s
No facet of English rural life has been left out of Blackpool’s Model Village. Thatched cottages sit alongside a pretty Cornish fishing village, while a majestic castle, manned by smartly-dressed guardsmen, towers above them.
Diminutive it may be, but look closely and you’ll see teeny-tiny villagers enjoying a cricket match on the green, a pair of travellers cooking something tasty up on their stove, and Sunday’s congregation hurrying into their local church. This is one attraction where size really does matter and the detail in these handmade figurines is exquisite – as are the 2.5 acres of well-tended gardens that they call home.
