Tickle your taste buds on the Lancashire Cheese Trail

Garstang, Lancashire

Discover the Lancashire Cheese Trail, and watch cheese being made at Dewlay Cheese.

Lancashire is well known for their cheese; it even has three cheese walking trails dedicated to their three cheese types: creamy, crumbly and tasty.

These trails will give you the chance to discover the history behind these cheeses and sample their delicious favour, all whilst enjoying Lancashire’s picturesque countryside.

Also, scan the multi award winning cheese shop – Dewlay Cheese for delightful snacks and discover the history of cheese making in their interpretation centre.

After all that walking, if you fancy lunch by the historic Lancaster Canal whilst watching the narrowboats drift by, then pay Guys Thatched Hamlet or Th’owd Tithebarn a visit.
