Tame your own dragon at the Forest of Dean’s Dragon Festival

Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire

Get hands on with baby dragons and learn dragonology as ‘Alchemy Entertainment’ takes over the Dean Heritage Centre for the whole weekend.

Visitors to October’s Dragon Festival, based at the Dean Heritage Centre (DHC) in Soudley, can meet mischievous baby dragons and their mystical handlers as the DHC introduces the public to witches, wizards and their fascinating scaly friends.

Ermentrude the Witch and Wizziwig the Wizard will delight audiences with mythical tales, magical antics and remarkable sessions in ‘Dragonology’.

Dust off your wands, cauldrons and cloaks and join the dragon procession. Walk along the Room on the Broom trail, based on the much loved book written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler, take part in interactive trails around the 5-acre woodland site and have crafty fun making a dragon to take home.
