Spend a day at the picturesque Queen Elizabeth Country Park

Horndean, Hampshire

Enjoy a barbeque, family adventure or tranquil stroll in the beautiful South Downs countryside.

Queen Elizabeth Country Park is Hampshire’s biggest park set within 2,000 acres of open access woodland and downland within the South Downs National Park. The area also includes the Butser Hill National Nature Reserve and the views from the top are stunning.

There are plenty of things to do at Queen Elizabeth Country Park.

From gentle pursuits such as walking, taking in the view, and relaxing with a cup of tea from the cafeteria, to striding out along the long distance footpaths, testing your skills in the saddle, and getting off the beaten track to explore nature and history.

The main facilities are open all year round and include a visitor centre with shop, café, theatre and activity area. There are two play areas, bbq sites, picnic areas and 20 miles of waymarked trail for walking, cycling and horse riding. Maps are available to purchase from the Visitor Centre shop.
