Meet a legendary outlaw at the Robin Hood Festival

Edwinstowe, Nottinghamshire

The Robin Hood Festival is a celebration to all things medieval and associated to Robin, taking place annually within his home of Sherwood Forest.

Each year Nottingham’s famous legend makes his appearance at the festival, along with his band of merry men, to see off the Sheriff of Nottingham and take from the rich to give to the poor.

Explore Sherwood Forest as it transforms for a week into a medieval feast of entertainment, food and drink.

The visitor centre offers a perfect stopping off point to rest up and grab some lunch between visiting the many shows that take place throughout each individual day.

One thing is for certain, the festival is perfect for a family day out and if you’re lucky you might just get to meet the legend himself.
