A Mecca for aeroplane junmajestic display in the skies, the sea and on land.r Festival sees the RAF and Royal Navy put on a majestic display in the skies, the sea and on land.
The Bournemouth Air Festival isn’t your average air show: for one, it’s situated between (or perhaps we should say above) the stunning backdrop of Bournemouth and Boscombe Piers. The thousands of enthusiasts (and unashamed plane nerds) who flock here every year are treated to impressive, stomach-churning displays from the RAF, the Red Arrows and local legend the Sea Vixen.
There’s plenty on the ground to keep you occupied too: in the RAF Village you’ll find a full-size Chinook helicopter, survival demonstrations and the dulcet sounds of the RAF Central Band, while out at sea there’s the Royal Navy’s HMS Brocklesby just waiting to be explored.
