Remember the thrill of trips to the seaside – donkey rides, sand castles, the end of the pier, kite flying, and fish and chips on the prom.
It’s cool not to be cool at the seaside. It’s all about having fun and letting your hair down.
Weston has all the traditional treats – dodgems on the Grand Pier, miles of sandy beach, donkeys, a Marine Lake for paddling and boating, rock pools and a water adventure play park.
Treat yourself to a locally made toffee apple or candyfloss flavoured ice-cream at Tuttos Gelataria. If you’re too big to ride on a donkey, how about a helicopter ride, a boat trip to an island nature reserve, or racing down an indoor 300-metre go-karting circuit, followed by good food and wine in a seafront restaurant, watching fabulous sunsets.
If you’ve enjoyed your day why not stay over? There’s a range of accommodation for all pockets. Well connected by the M5 and mainline rail, Weston is a great base to visit Bristol and famous Somerset destinations, including Bath, the Cheddar Caves and Glastonbury.
