Go wild for the wildlife of the Cotswolds

Moreton In Marsh, Gloucestershire

Experience the wild beauty of Batsford Arboretum and the sight of rare birds of prey soaring over the surrounding Cotswolds hills.

Batsford Arboretum, in Moreton In Marsh, is home to one of the country’s largest private collections of trees, with 56 acres of wild gardens, paths and streams. Enjoy child-friendly walks surrounded by spectacular colours as the arboretum changes from green in spring and summer to a kaleidoscope of autumnal reds, pinks and golds.

There are lots of flora and fauna to appreciate too, from rare fungi and birds, to moths and badgers - can you and the kids spot them all in a day?

Next door, at the Cotswold Falconry Centre, you’ll find 150 different birds of prey in natural aviaries in the owl woods.
