Feel the groove or just chill out with ten days of cutting-edge tunes and killer beats at the Manchester Jazz Festival.
You can’t help but get into swing of things at the Manchester Jazz Festival. Each year 400 musicians flock to venues as diverse as St Ann’s Church, the Royal Northern College of Music and the festival’s very own Pavilion Teepee, for concerts that run inside and out, and around the clock.
The hottest ticket in town is Afternoon Tea at the Midland Hotel, where you can munch on freshly-baked scones as you listen to jazz in the city’s most regal surroundings. The festival’s music goes way beyond a bit of toe-tapping though; if you’re lucky you might witness an important moment in jazz history as this event is all about championing new talent, innovation and deliberately breaking down boundaries.
