Get an authentic taste of Cotswolds farm life

Moreton In Marsh, Gloucestershire

Ever fancied trying your hand at making your own sausages? Be part of a traditional farming experience at Old Farm, near Moreton in Marsh.

Simon and Sarah Righton run a 300-acre tenanted farm with sheep, beef, pigs and arable land, near the Cotswold market town of Moreton in Marsh.

The farm hosts school visits and Open Days, including the annual Open Farm Sunday in June, where farms across the country show where their food comes from.

Their Gloucestershire Old Spot sows are crossed with Hamrock boar to create their own Glamrock pigs and there is a butchery on site where meat is prepared.

Using home-produced pork, create a unique sausage and learn the art of stuffing and linking. And the best bit – you get to take them home to impress your friends! Courses can be tailored, with bacon curing and burger making also available.
