For over a quarter of a century, the airshow has thrilled visitors and enthusiasts alike. To get the most out of your experience at the airshow, traditionally you need to start with the Friday night launch party, featuring live music, evening flying displays and a fantastic firework display.

Regularly attracting the world’s top display teams, the airshow boasts a thrilling flying programme of over ten hours, showcasing classic fighters, hi-tech helicopters, aerobatic display teams, historic aircraft, wing-walkers and front line fast-jets flying over the city’s coastline at Seaburn and Roker.

In addition, there’s plenty for everyone to enjoy on the ground throughout the whole weekend. In-between gasping at the aerobatics and close encounters in the skies, there are fairgrounds, inflatables, flight simulators, entertainment, live music and everything from ride-on model trains to Punch and Judy shows to keep the whole family entertained.
