Explore wildlife amidst open heath and rolling farmland

Worksop, Nottinghamshire

Explore the green open space of Clumber Park to discover an abundance of wildlife, where more than 200 species of bird have been recorded.

Take an autumnal stroll around the large man-made lake at the stunning park, and look out for mallards, swans, geese and coots. The woodlands and rough grassland provide resting spots for a variety of feathered creatures.

Take part in hands-on activities at this National Trust site’s Discovery Centre, where you can get close up to some of their more reclusive residents, from furry or feathery to creepy or slimy.

After a busy day of exploration, nearby Launay’s is the perfect place to dine. Sherwood Forest provides a wonderfully picturesque and relaxing backdrop in the cosy warmth of this 16th century cottage, before you retreat back to your comfy wooden wigwam in the heart of Clumber Park.
