Windsor Castle is a working royal palace regularly used for ceremonial and State occasions, and the Queen spends most of her private weekends here.

See the miniature masterpiece that is Queen Mary's Dolls' House, complete with running water and electricity, watch the Changing of the Guard and walk around the magnificent State Apartments and grounds with the help of a free audio guide.

Highlights include the lavish Grand Reception Room and St George’s Hall where the Queen hosts State Banquets.

Windsor Castle offers family trails and guided tours of the castle precincts and at certain times of year you can climb to the top of the tower or take a guided tour of the oldest working kitchen in England.
