York has a long held tradition of cycling as the second most cycle friendly city in England, so you are in good company if you choose to explore York by bike. No surprises there as York was chosen for day 2 of the Grand Départ of the Tour De France in July 2014.

With less than three miles between the outer ring road and the city centre, getting around York by bike is fast and easy. Our extensive network of off-road cycle paths and on-road cycle lanes offers safe access into and around York.

Scoot provides complete holidays including accommodation, use of bikes and equipment and the transfer of luggage between the places you are staying at during your cycle holiday! Why not try one of our 2hr city sightseeing tours on a bike? Or if you are more adventurous, try one of the many countryside routes just outside York.
