Enjoy a weekend of music at Beverley Folk Festival

Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire

The market town of Beverley in East Yorkshire plays host to the annual Beverley Folk Festival which recently celebrated its 30th Anniversary.

The festival started when a small group of friends at a local Folk Club, Nellies, in Beverley wanted to be able to bring to the Town and the region some of the bigger and more famous artists and performers to a local audience.

It now has a national and an international reputation and is recognised as one of the UK’s ‘Best Small Festivals’ and ‘Family Friendly Festivals’ attracting audiences from near and far. Good music is still at its heart with Folk, Americana and World but now includes dance, comedy, literature, film and poetry, creating a unique cultural celebration. The ‘Festival Village’ has craft stalls, free children’s programme, outdoor music and dance events, and impromptu music.

The festival remains faithful to the aims of its founders – to bring some of the best music and performers to the region.
