Be amazed by music from around the world, at Bath’s premier festival of sound.
This sounds like a great way to broaden your cultural mind. Since 1948, Bath International Music Festival has become one of Britain’s most cherished musical events, with classical, folk, roots and world music all featuring on the aural menu.
Having been directed by legends such as Yehudi Menuhin and Sir Thomas Beecham, the festival is renowned for its thoughtful, topical programming and creative collaborations. Added to all that, of course, you’ve got the historic backdrop of Bath’s UNESCO World Heritage-rated scenery – and comprising multimedia displays, art and dance, the festival has gone from strength to strength since its post-war inception.
