Whinlatter puts the mountain into mountain biking, making full use of its landscape to offer some fantastic trails.
The red graded Altura trail is already known to be a classic with the north and south loop together providing 19km of adrenaline pumping riding for mountain biking fans.
The North Loop is 10km long with some flowing sections of single-track whilst the climbs in the first half of the loop are well rewarded with some of the best downhill in the UK.
The South Loop is 9km and is slightly less technical than the North and has a pleasant single-track climb to the midway point which allows you to choose between a flowing downhill section littered with berms and rollovers or a continuation of the climb to the top of Hospital Ridge.
