Enjoy the best of the West Country's culinary fare

Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

As if the Cotswolds weren't enough of a treat, get a taste for the local and refined at this gourmand's delight.

Each summer Cheltenham plays host to the Food & Drink Festival, a celebration of the best the Cotswolds has to offer your tastebuds. Sample local produce and cuisine at over 200 stalls, and drink ‘til sunset with an array of local ales, fine wines and champagne.

A stress is placed on the modern use of pesticides, as the festival takes a distinctly organic edge. But that's about all the stress you'll experience as you wander through the picturesque Montpellier Gardens, part of Cheltenham Council since the late Victorian age and a pretty green idyll in one of England's prettiest towns.
