One of the lovely things you’ll find out about Bristol is how much fits into such a small space. You can cycle around the city in a few days. Just be aware that it’s hilly.
Bristol has been crowned the UK's first Cycling City, acknowledging the city's growing status as one of Europe's most bike-friendly destinations.
Bristol is the hub of Britain's national cycle routes and home to Sustrans - Britain's leading sustainable transport charity. It's no wonder then that Bristol has cycle routes on almost all its major roads, and there are plenty of places to lock up your bike too, making cycling a great way to explore the city.
There are many different cycling tours you can take, from the more adventurous to the countryside paths that adorn Ashton Court, overlooking the city, or you might just want to get around all the sites. There’s something for whichever level of cyclist you are. You won’t have experienced the city till you’ve felt it rushing past you in the wind.
