Art Deco chic and coastal fun

Morecambe Bay, Lancashire

Discover Morecambe Bay’s stunning sunsets and natural landscapes, and unearth your adventurous side with a range of exhilarating outdoor activities.

The glamour and Art Deco splendour of the Midland Hotel in Morecambe is the perfect setting for a British coastal break this summer. Stunning views, unrivalled sunsets and a fantastic menu of locally sourced food & drink, make the Midland a good base to explore the Bay.

Head north from Morecambe to RSPB Leighton Moss & Morecambe Bay Nature Reserve in the Arnside & Silverdale AONB - well known from BBC Autumn Watch for its birdlife, otters and red deer.

This year sees the opening of a brand new viewing platform that provides amazing views across the bay. The most famous way to explore the bay is to cross the sands by foot with the Queen's Guide, Cedric Robinson, or you could explore the bay by boat with Bay Sea School. Don't forget to look out for seals and dolphins!
